What is Concierge Medicine?
1) Concierge Medicine
(also known as 'Boutique',
'Retainer' or 'Executive
Practice' medicine) is a new
style of practicing medicine.
» Doctors limit their total patient numbers in order to
spend more time with you.
» More time means a more personalized experience for
you, more time to answer and
discuss your health questions and concerns.
» Exclusive personal access to your doctor 24 hrs/day,
7 days/week, 365 days/year.
How it works:
1) You meet with your physician
to determine your individual
needs and to determine which
premium concierge service is
best suited for you.
2) You pay a set annual (or
monthly) fee for these premium
services.
3) Your insurance is never
billed.
Do I still need to have
insurance?
1) Although your concierge fee
covers all visits and medical
care given to you by your
primary physician, you will need
your insurance to help with
other costs such as medications,
care given by specialists,
hospitalizations, labs,
procedures and radiographic
tests.
What can I expect with my
concierge service?
1) Less crowded waiting rooms.
2) Little or no waiting time to
see your doctor.
3) Same day or next day
appointments, call ahead
appointments.
4) House calls (portable EKG
machine, blood pressure, vitals)
5) Accompaniment by your doctor
to your appointments with other
physicians.
6) Your doctor taking care of
you while in the hospital.
7) Facilitation in obtaining
specialist referrals and follow
up visits.
8) Wellness advice.
9) Medications delivered to you
from the pharmacy whenever
possible while you are still in
the doctor's office.
10) Physicals/Checkups and other
usually uncovered services.
