DR. MICHAEL E. LOZANO -
Board Certified Internal
Medicine
Dr. Michael E. Lozano is a
native San Antonian who
graduated from Central Catholic
High School with Highest Honors
and was a National Honor Society
recipient. He continued his
education at St. Mary’s
University where he graduated
Magna Cum Laude and was on the
Dean’s List every semester. He
received his Medical Degree from
the University of Texas Health
Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA.
Dr. Lozano completed his
residency at UTHSCSA, Department
of Internal Medicine. After
completing residency, Dr. Lozano
was appointed Chief Resident. He
remained on staff at UTHSCSA in
a teaching capacity as Assistant
Professor from July 1998 –
February 2002. During his tenure
at UTHSCSA, he was also chosen
as Assistant Program Director
for the Internal Medicine
Residency Program and Medical
Director of the Hospitalist
Program at University Hospital.
Dr. Lozano was awarded
Outstanding Clinical Teacher by
the Medicine Residency
Department for two years in a
row. He left his position in
2002 to co-found and co-own
ADMIT, PA, a local private
hospitalist group, of which he
was the Medical Director. Dr.
Lozano is now the co-founder and
President of IMPACT Physicians
of Texas, PA. He has been
recognized as a lifetime member
of Strathmore’s Who’s Who. Dr.
Lozano received the Exceptional
Care Award at St. Luke's Baptist
Hospital (2002) and has been a
Hero Award nominee at North
Central Baptist Hospital (2006).
Dr. Lozano is an active member
of the American College of
Physicians, Society of Hospital
Medicine, Texas Medical
Association and Bexar County
Medical Association.

DR. MITCHELL R. CURRY -
Board Certified Internal
Medicine
Dr. Mitchell R. Curry received
his Medical Degree from the
Ponce School of Medicine, Ponce,
Puerto Rico. He completed his
internship and residency at the
University of Texas Health
Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA),
Department of Internal Medicine.
After completing residency, Dr.
Curry joined Alamo City Medical
Group (1996 – 1998). He
co-founded Hospitalists of San
Antonio (1996 – 2000) and was
Medical Director at Vistacare
Hospice (1998). Dr. Curry was
also Assistant Professor of
Medicine at the UTHSCSA,
Department of Internal Medicine
from July 2000 – December 2001.
Dr. Curry left UTHSCSA to
co-found and own ADMIT, PA, a
private hospitalist group, of
which he was the President.
During his tenure with ADMIT,
PA, Dr. Curry was Chief of
Medicine at Northeast Baptist
Hospital from July 2002 – June
2007. Dr. Curry was recognized
as Consultant of the Year at
Northeast Baptist Hospital in
2002 and received the Community
Pillar Award for Outstanding
Community Service at Northeast
Baptist Hospital in September
2005. In addition, Dr. Curry was
also listed among the “Top
Doctors” in the Scene in San
Antonio in SA Monthly Magazine
in 2006. Dr. Curry is an
active member of the American
College of Physicians, Society
of Hospital Medicine, Texas
Medical Association and Bexar
County Medical Association. |
