DR. MICHAEL E. LOZANO

Board Certified Internal Medicine

Dr. Michael E. Lozano is a native San Antonian who graduated from Central Catholic High School with Highest Honors and was a National Honor Society recipient. He continued his education at St. Mary’s University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was on the Dean’s List every semester. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA. Dr. Lozano completed his residency at UTHSCSA, Department of Internal Medicine. After completing residency, Dr. Lozano was appointed Chief Resident. He remained on staff at UTHSCSA in a teaching capacity as Assistant Professor from July 1998 – February 2002. During his tenure at UTHSCSA, he was also chosen as Assistant Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program and Medical Director of the Hospitalist Program at University Hospital. Dr. Lozano was awarded Outstanding Clinical Teacher by the Medicine Residency Department for two years in a row. He left his position in 2002 to co-found and co-own ADMIT, PA, a local private hospitalist group, of which he was the Medical Director. Dr. Lozano is now the co-founder and President of IMPACT Physicians of Texas, PA. He has been recognized as a lifetime member of Strathmore’s Who’s Who. Dr. Lozano received the Exceptional Care Award at St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital (2002) and has been a Hero Award nominee at North Central Baptist Hospital (2006). Dr. Lozano is an active member of the American College of Physicians, Society of Hospital Medicine, Texas Medical Association and Bexar County Medical Association.
