DR. MITCHELL R. CURRY

Dr. Mitchell R. Curry received his Medical Degree from the Ponce School of Medicine, Ponce, Puerto Rico. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), Department of Internal Medicine. After completing residency, Dr. Curry joined Alamo City Medical Group (1996 – 1998). He co-founded Hospitalists of San Antonio (1996 – 2000) and was Medical Director at Vistacare Hospice (1998). Dr. Curry was also Assistant Professor of Medicine at the UTHSCSA, Department of Internal Medicine from July 2000 – December 2001. Dr. Curry left UTHSCSA to co-found and own ADMIT, PA, a private hospitalist group, of which he was the President. During his tenure with ADMIT, PA, Dr. Curry was Chief of Medicine at Northeast Baptist Hospital from July 2002 – June 2007. Dr. Curry was recognized as Consultant of the Year at Northeast Baptist Hospital in 2002 and received the Community Pillar Award for Outstanding Community Service at Northeast Baptist Hospital in September 2005. In addition, Dr. Curry was also listed among the “Top Doctors” in the Scene in San Antonio in SA Monthly Magazine in 2006. More recently, Dr. Curry was Chief of Staff at TexSan Hospital from 2014 – 2015. Dr. Curry is an active member of the American College of Physicians, Society of Hospital Medicine, Texas Medical Association and Bexar County Medical Association.
